HBO to Make Deal to Sell Shows on iTunes

Time Warner Inc.'s HBO network is close to an agreement with Apple Inc. to sell shows such as ``The Sopranos'' and ``The Wire'' on iTunes, a person familiar with the talks said.
HBO will make its programs available on the service at the same time as the network releases the shows on DVD, said the person, who declined to be identified because no deal has been announced. The pricing model will be different from what TV networks have previously negotiated, the person said yesterday.
