A crew from the public television's national "NewsHour With Jim Lehrer" began a three-day visit to Dayton on Wednesday, March 18, to take a snapshot of the arts community.
"Dayton was recommended to us as a place where the economy has been hit hard, but where the arts are strong," said Anne Davenport, media producer for the program, which airs locally from 6 to 7 weeknights on WPTD-TV, Channel 16.
