Cincinnati and Ketucky Public TV to Switch to Digital Early

TV's transition from analog to digital will come quicker for area public TV stations than commercial stations, which are waiting until the government's June 12 deadline.

CET (Channel 48), Oxford's WPTO-TV (Channel 14) and Dayton's WPTD-TV (Channel 16) announced Wednesday they will shut off duplicative analog signals May 1.

Covington's WCVN-TV (Channel 54), and the statewide Kentucky Educational Television network, had previously said they will drop analog April 16.
