An Author's Blog on His Visit to WLEX

Lately I have been very blessed to have had lots of attention drawn to my latest book, Pumpkin Guts. I have had articles about it in all of the local and regional papers, including the Kentucky Mountain News. I have had my book placed in local businesses such as Jiffy Mart and in local schools where it is available for both checkout and sale. My website and blog are getting lots of hits, and my book is selling very well on Barnes and Noble, Amazon, and Books-A-Million. However, it is my recent trip to WLEX Channel 18 that I want to write about today.

WBNS Dominates Columbus Ratings Period Again

Television's February "sweeps" were delayed this year until March because of the government-mandated deadline for stations to switch to digital broadcasting.

But the results -- at least locally -- were much the same as before.

As it did in November, WBNS-TV (Channel 10) led the pack with each of its newscasts -- chalking up victories in the early morning; at midday; and at 5, 6 and 11 p.m.

How WXIX Ruined This Viewer's Night

We watch TV every Monday(Big Bang Theory & 24), Tuesday (American Idol) & Wednsday(AI).

Well we were very excited to get to watch the new Osbournes show that was premiering tonight. But much to our dismay a big shot from the local FOX affiliate WXIX comes on the screen after AI & makes a statement that the Osbournes is not an appropriate TV show for primetime viewing
