Carl Day, a veteran Dayton and Emmy-winning television news anchor, said he has received notice from WDTN-TV Channel 2 that his contract with the station has not been renewed.
The contract ended on Dec. 31, 2008. Day has been fighting leukemia for a fourth time. He also suffered shoulder, back and leg injuries when he said he took a fall backwards, in the television studios in October 2008.
