TV viewers in the region will have four choices for local news at 6 p.m. when WXIX-TV (Channel 19) expands its year-old 6:30 p.m. newscast to an hour on Sept. 21.
“People have four local news choices for news at 6 a.m. Now they’ll have it at 6 p.m. too,” says Bill Lanesey, Channel 19 general manager.
The same anchor team - Tricia Macke, Dan Carroll and Steve Horstmeyer - will deliver the “Fox 19 Evening News @ 6 O’Clock.”
