Hattie the Witch, one of the iconic puppets created by Cincinnati puppeteer Larry Smith, was one of a number of cloth characters present at a Saturday, March 15, ceremony conducted in Smith's honor at the National Voice of America Museum of Broadcasting. Smith received commendations from the Cincinnati Area Puppeteers Guild, WXIX Channel 19 and Media Heritage Inc. for his five decades of contributions to local broadcasting and the art of puppetry.
