Effective July 1, E.W. Scripps Co. will operate the TV stations, syndication business and newspapers, while Scripps Networks Interactive will comprise the five cable networks and various Internet businesses.
The E. W. Scripps Co.'s board of directors today approved management's plan to separate Scripps into two public companies, effective July 1.
