On Saturday, WAVE-TV dominated the local airwaves most of the afternoon, peaking during the Kentucky Derby with a rating of 39.9. Its one-hour telecast from 5-6 p.m. drew a 35.6, but the peak quarter-hour nearly burst through the 40-mark.
